View the botanical art of the Endeavour voyage
Banks and Solander collected some 3,600 plant species on the voyage while artist Sydney Parkinson made 674 outline drawings and 269 finished paintings. Parkinson died on the voyage and while other artists worked to complete the florilegium it was more than two hundred years before the full work was eventually published.
