New Endeavour is a personal voyage of exploration by NESTA Fellow Dr Bob Bloomfield. Bob aims to revisit each of the major points of science research and observation of the landfalls of the voyage of the Endeavour, over the same three year period, in the same seasons. The re-encounters are opportunities to explore the context, the science and natural history of the voyage and seek a new perspective.

New Endeavour has been made possible through the fellowship programme of the National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts. NESTA has supported Dr Bob Bloomfield, a scientist and natural history communicator, in retracing the first Pacific expedition made by Captain Cook.
I would like to thank all of those who have supported this work and in particular:
My loving wife Ania for her patience
